Responsible Gambling
Casino games are entertainment that costs money, not a way to earn it. Here is how to keep play within limits you choose, the tools in your account, and where to find free help across Canada.
Four things that are always true
Keep these in mind every time you open a game, whatever the result of the last one.
No win is guaranteed
Every spin, hand and draw is decided by chance. No system, pattern or “hot” game changes that, and over time the house keeps an edge.
It is not income
Never count on gambling to pay bills, clear debts or replace a salary. Play only with money you can afford to lose.
Adults only
You must be 18 or older, or older where your province requires it. Accounts held by minors are closed.
Limits come first
Decide on a budget and a time limit before you start, and set them in your account so they hold when the game gets exciting.

Understanding Gambling Risks
Online casino games are built so that, over many rounds, the operator keeps a share of everything staked. The return to player (RTP) shown inside a game is a long-term average across millions of rounds; it says nothing about what will happen in your session, and a run of losses can be much longer than people expect.
Gambling also carries risks beyond money. Fast games, near misses and big progressive jackpots can make it easy to play longer than planned or to chase losses. For some people play becomes a source of stress, secrecy or debt that affects family, work and health.
- Financial risk: you can lose the whole amount you stake. Treat it as the price of the entertainment.
- Time risk: sessions feel shorter than they are. A clock or a reality check helps.
- Emotional risk: playing to escape stress, boredom or low mood tends to make things worse, not better.
- Mixing with alcohol or other substances lowers judgement and makes it harder to stop when you meant to.
Minimum Age
You must be at least 18 years old to open an account and play, or older where the law of your province or territory sets a higher age. Several Canadian provinces set the gambling age at 19, and that higher age applies to you if you live there. Registration is not available to residents of Alberta and Ontario.
The age question shown on your first visit is only a first step. Your date of birth is checked when you register, and the operator verifies your age and identity against documents before real-money play and withdrawals. Any account found to belong to someone under age is closed.
If you share a device with children or teenagers, keep your login details private and consider parental-control software. Our site is not designed for or aimed at anyone under the legal age.
Recognizing Problem Gambling
Problem gambling rarely starts suddenly. Answer the questions below honestly about the last twelve months. One or two “yes” answers are a reason to set firmer limits; several are a good reason to take a break and talk to one of the support organizations below.
- Do you bet more than you can afford to lose, or more than you planned?
- Do you need to stake larger amounts to get the same excitement?
- Have you gone back another day to try to win back money you lost?
- Have you borrowed money, sold something or missed a bill because of gambling?
- Do you hide how much time or money you spend on games from people close to you?
- Do you feel restless, irritable or anxious when you try to cut down?
- Do you gamble to escape problems or to lift a low mood?
- Has gambling caused arguments, health problems or trouble at work or school?
Worried about someone else? The same signs apply. Help lines such as Gambling Support BC and Jeu : aide et référence also support family members and friends.
Deposit Limits
A deposit limit caps how much money, in CAD, you can add to your account per day, week or month. Once it is reached, further deposits are refused until the period starts again. It is the simplest way to keep your spending to a budget you set while calm.
Set it in My account → Your limits. Lowering a limit applies straight away. Raising or removing it does not: the request waits 7 days and your current limit stays in force until then, so a decision made in the heat of a session cannot take effect in that session. You can cancel a pending increase at any time.
Loss Limits
A loss limit caps how much you can lose — stakes minus winnings — over a day, week or month. Deposit limits control what goes into the account; a loss limit also covers winnings you keep playing with, which is how many sessions get out of hand.
It works by the same rule as the other limits in your account: a lower figure takes effect immediately, a higher one only after 7 days. Pick an amount you would be comfortable losing in full, because that is exactly what the limit allows.
Session Limits
A session limit sets how many minutes you can spend playing per day, week or month (up to 1,440 minutes in a single day). It is useful if the problem is less the money and more the hours that slip away, late at night or during work.
Enter the number of minutes in My account. Shortening the limit applies at once; lengthening it waits 7 days. A session limit works well together with a reality check, which reminds you of the time before the limit is reached.
Reality Checks
A reality check is a reminder that appears on any page of the site and shows how long you have been signed in. You can choose an interval of every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes or every hour, or turn it off.
When it appears you can continue or log out straight from the reminder. Change the interval in My account → Reality check. Many players find that seeing the real time spent is enough to decide to stop for the day.
Cooling-Off Periods
A cooling-off period is a short break from play: 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. It is meant for moments when you want distance from the games without closing anything for the long term — after a heavy loss, during a stressful week or simply to reset habits.
Start it in My account → Take a break. It begins immediately and cannot be ended early, though you can extend it. While it runs, games will not open, promotions are paused and marketing messages stop. You can still sign in to view your account.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is for when you want to stop gambling for a long time. You can choose 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. It cannot be reversed or shortened once it starts, so take a moment to choose the period that is right for you — you can always extend it later.
How to request it
- Sign in and open My account → Take a break or self-exclude.
- Choose 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, tick the confirmation box and select Start break.
- If you cannot sign in, or prefer not to, email support@7sultanscasinoco.slonik.store from the address registered on your account and ask for self-exclusion with the period you want. Support applies it and confirms by email.
What changes during self-exclusion
- Games do not open on your account for the whole period, on any device.
- Promotions, tournaments and loyalty offers are closed to you.
- All marketing messages stop, and the marketing setting cannot be switched back on until the period ends.
- Opening a new account to get around the exclusion is not allowed; duplicate accounts are closed.
- You can still sign in to see your account details and the date the exclusion ends.
Talking to support
Questions about an exclusion, or a request to extend one, can go to the contact form under “Responsible Gambling” or to support@7sultanscasinoco.slonik.store. Support will not try to talk you out of a break. Self-exclusion here covers this account only, so consider also using blocking software and the provincial programmes listed under Support Organizations.
Account Restrictions
Every limit and break is tied to your account, so it applies on desktop and mobile alike. The table below sums up what you can set, where and when each change takes effect.
| Deposit limit | Daily, weekly or monthly amount in CAD. Lower: at once. Higher or removed: after 7 days. |
|---|---|
| Loss limit | Daily, weekly or monthly amount in CAD. Lower: at once. Higher or removed: after 7 days. |
| Session limit | Minutes per day, week or month. Shorter: at once. Longer or removed: after 7 days. |
| Reality check | Reminder every 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or off. Changes apply straight away. |
| Cooling-off | 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Starts at once, can be extended, cannot be ended early. |
| Self-exclusion | 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. Starts at once, stops marketing, cannot be reversed early. |
| Marketing | Opt out at any time in Preferences; switched off automatically during any break. |
The operator may also restrict an account on its own initiative — for example where play shows signs of harm, where age or identity cannot be confirmed, or where someone tries to register from Alberta and Ontario. If you would like a restriction we do not offer in your account, or want to close your account altogether, contact support.
Support Organizations
Free, confidential help is available across Canada, for players and for the people around them. You do not need to have “hit rock bottom” to call — many people get in touch simply to talk through their habits.
These organizations are independent of 7 Sultans and the operator. Contact details were checked when this page was last updated; if a number has changed, the organization’s website has the current one.
